Espa Stage

Espa Stage – Espan lava in Finnish is an iconic open air venue in the heart of Helsinki. During the summer months, it offers free concerts and other shows for residents and tourists.

I was tasked to create an identity for Espa Stage within the limits of Helsinki City brand. Using Helsinki’s brand colors and Helsinki Grotesk – the proprietary typeface of the city – I created a look that is distinctive and plays with the idea of hot and cold. The big ESPAN LAVA typography frames all other information and resembles the stage itself.
